JCDS promotes love of learning and respect for individual differences. It is a child-centered program with a balance of individualized and group learning opportunities in multi-age classrooms for kindergarten, elementary and middle school students.

The program at JCDS empowers children to:

  • develop insight and understanding of self.
  • learn respectful ways of relating to all human beings.
  • acquire knowledge in general and Judaic disciplines of study and gain the skills necessary to become life-long learners.
  • love learning and pursue interests with intellectual curiosity, flexibility and critical thinking.
  • achieve personal Jewish identity and a love for the Jewish people and the land of Israel.
  • perpetuate the unique gift of Jewish culture and tradition.
  • become caring, responsible members of the Jewish people, of American society and of the world community.
  • participate in the preservation and repair of the world.
